What a fantastic meeting of the InFocus photo club this week!
The meeting started off with a wonderful presentation by Terry Alls. He and his wife Trudie took a 21 day trip to Africa and he shared 2 videos with us. The first video was a testimonial video that he created for the tour company that they booked their photo safari with. I included the video below. That video is just a small sampling of their experiences. The second longer video was outstanding. The photos and videos that Terry included told an amazing story of their adventure. WE are thrilled that Terry shared this with the club.
Not to be outdone Ania spoke about the nature photographer Art Wolf. She showed us videos of him speaking about his work and his equipment. She also opened up a discussion concerning photo manipulation and how it affects today’s photography. Does it disrupt the trust between the photographer and the viewer? Here is a wonderful video of Art Wolf discussing “The Art of the Image” at Google Talks
Our critique subject for this meeting was Portraits. There were some wonderful examples for several members of the club.
The elections for the 2016 officers was held and we discussed the Off the Beaten Path Self-Guided Tour event Nov, 5th and 6th. We are looking for more volunteers for that weekend, The club’s photos will be on display at Trout Lake Nature Center. Please join us!
We will not have our regular club meeting this month cur to the holiday. We hope that you enjoy your Thanksgiving with friends and family. Don’t forget your camera!
